2nd Peter
I was reading 2nd Peter (from the Bible) this morning and thinking about how God has given us everything we need to share in His divine nature, and have the power to be free from the corruption of this world because of evil desires.
So, as we intentionally work through the different qualities in verses 5-7 from chapter 1 believe that you have them and let each one increase in you, so that you would not be useless or unfruitful in the knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Obviously as believers of Jesus Christ we have these, but for many (including me) that can just be in theory, not in practice. These qualities are faith building and peace giving, and should be shared with those around us. -
Love that will not betray you, dismay or enslave you,
It will set you free
Be more like the man you were made to be.

An alignment to cry,

This band is awesome, and for me those lyrics point right to the Gospel! -
and who has been declared to be the powerful Son of God by the resurrection from the dead according to the Spirit of holiness.

This verse from the Bible is about Jesus Christ, who conquered death for us all through the Spirit of holiness.
In this season of reflection and change for many, whatever each of us is looking for cannot compare with what God desires for us to have if we repent (of being our own gods) and believe in what Jesus Christ accomplished at the cross. -
And let us be concerned about one another in order to promote love and good works, not staying away from our worship meetings, as some habitually do, but encouraging each other, and all the more as you see the day drawing near.

A Thought
Francis Chan shared this recently, and I thought is was something I wanted to echo to others… For some reason, I woke up with a phrase in my head the other morning. I’ll leave you with it: “A lot of things make sense until you die.”
